Alexia and Marie head out to the countryside to visit Alexias family and possibly study for exams. They welcome Marie and show her around and then its lights out and game on, middle of the night, doorbell rings, dog barks and the killing begins. Marie hides, Alex is taken by the killer and Maries gives chase. Clerk at a gas station is killed for shits and giggles, Marie gives chase, theres a final confrontation and then comes the twist, which if you happened to catch just the right American trailer for this film, they gave it right the hell away. I assume since you’ve chosen to read our blog that you are very intelligent, so you will probably figure out the twist for yourselves.
I enjoyed High Tension the first time I watched it, second time through it was like watching a schizophrenics wet dream. Best advice I can offer friends is this, ignore the plot holes and you’ll make it through just fine. The acting is pretty good, the script could have probably used another rewrite, just to iron out some issues. I wish they would have subtitled the entire movie instead of dubbing it. For these reasons and for keeping my attention for ninety minutes High Tension gets a rating of: I Think Its On Amazon Prime. Till next time friends, stay entertained.
